10 BEST LED TV IN 2018 OF THE WORLD
We’ve tested 47 LED TVs in the past year, and here are our recommendations for the best ones to purchase in 2018.
Sony X900F: An impressive mid-range LED LCD 4K TV
Sizes: 49”, 55”
The Sony X900F is a great LED LCD 4K TV that delivers very good picture quality and has great smart features. It looks great in just about any room, as it has great dark room performance and can get extremely bright to overcome glare in a bright room. It also has great smart features, with a huge selection of available apps and an easy to use interface.
Fast motion in action movies or games looks great on the X900F thanks to the fast response time. It has an optional black frame insertion feature that can further improve motion performance. HDR content looks great, thanks to the high peak brightness and wide color gamut.
Samsung NU8000: A very good mid-range LED LCD 4K Gaming TV
Sizes: 49”, 55”, 65”, 72”, 82”

All of the NU8000 models except the 49” support AMD’s FreeSync variable refresh rate
technology, which ensures a tear-free gaming experience when gaming on an Xbox One S, X, or on a PC with an AMD graphics card. It also detects when you are playing a game, and automatically enters the low input lag ‘Game’ mode.
The NU8000 has an excellent native contrast ratio, so dark scenes and shadows appear as they should when watching in a dark room. While it does have a local dimming feature, unfortunately, it isn’t very effective and doesn’t really improve the overall dark room viewing experience. Overall, it is a great mid-range TV with some impressive features that make it an excellent gaming TV.
LG C8 OLED Series (2018)
55-inch: LG OLED55C8 | 65-inch: LG OLED65C8
Samsung Q900R QLED TV (2018)
65-inch: Samsung QE65Q900RATXXU | 75-inch: Samsung QE75Q900RATXXU | 85-inch: Samsung QE85Q900RATXXU

The native 8K pictures are incredible, looking just like the real world – only better. But even more crucially given the dearth of true 8K content for the foreseeable future, the 85Q900R makes all today’s lower resolution sources look better than they do anywhere else, too.
Whether 8K delivers the same impact on smaller screens remains to be seen, but if you have a big enough room and budget, the Q900R is a vision of the future that’s spectacularly worth buying. In the UK you can find 65, 75, and 85-inch models, ranging from £4,999 to £14,999 – not quite for any budget, but with a few options for those weighing up the cost.
Philips 803 OLED
55-inch: Philips 55OLED803 | 65-inch: Philips 65OLED803The Philips 803 is a truly capable 4K television, and all the better a deal for being the cheaper sibling to Philips' flagship 903 model – so you're not getting Bowers & Wilkins speakers, but the reduced price brings the 803 much more in reach.
This is one of the most promising OLEDs you'll find on the market today, while Philips' Hue-compatible Ambilight room lighting system is gorgeous for at-home watching. The software doesn't always match the promise of the panel, such as poor catch-up TV provision, a mere two full-spec UHD HDMI inputs and the lack of Dolby Vision. But these are minor concerns in the face of a dazzling OLED picture.
